Gaines Bend 

Gaines Bend is one of the premier developments at Possum Kingdom Lake, yet its very simple and peaceful. A working cattle ranch still, the Gaines Bend Development sits along the eastern shores of Possum Kingdom Lake and is home to both old-style lake cabins and luxury estates. Where is the fabled Hell's Gate? In Sportsman's World! This Possum Kingdom Lake community is growing at a quick pace. In 1913, the J.K. Weldon family invested the money earned from cotton and cattle sales in the purchase of a ranch near McAdams Peak. Today, that land located in the northern-most extension of the famed Texas Hill country is called The Ranch on Possum Kingdom.

The Harbor

The Harbor (sometimes called Hill Country Harbor) kicked off its initial sales phase in July 2007. Quite a bit of the infrastructure is completed, some homes and condos are done, and people are moving in!

West Side

The west side of Possum Kingdom Lake is closest to the town of Graham, a historical town built around a town square. Graham has a Regional Medical Center, and is also home to a historic fort, an antique shopping district, grocery stores, movie theater, and other year-round businesses.

Peninsula

The Peninsula refers to the stretch of land accessed by Park Road 36 on Possum Kingdom's east side. It is the location for most of the businesses on PK Lake, as well as YMCA's Camp Grady Spruce and the Boy Scout camp. The terrain is gently sloping in some locations, and hilly in others. In 2010, the Patterson group purchased the BRA leases which now provides homeowners with the option to buy their land and make it deeded or continue to lease.

Hog Bend

Lastly there's Hog Bend - a rustic community secluded with water access only. Seriously. Hog Bend has a charm all its own and is located on PK's southern side just west of Possum Kingdom Lake's famous landmark, Hell's Gate. Forget about people stopping by uninvited!
