Hi!  I admit I’m a bit nervous publishing my first blog.  I’m a lot more comfortable out on the front lines than I am behind a keyboard!

Let me get the introductions out of the way first.  I’m Pondera’s newest real estate agent, but I’m not new to the lake.  In fact, I’ve been a PK regular since I can remember, and spent long lazy summers here with my great grandparents, way back in the day.

Since that time, I’ve seen the lake change … a lot!  Quaint summer cabins are being replaced by beautiful lake homes faster than you can say Hells Gate, and one of best kept secrets in Texas is slowly leaking out – that PK is the premier spot in the state for boating, fishing, and good old fashioned lake time fun.

I moved to PK about a year ago, following a life long dream to live and work at the lake.  I’m married to Bret Jordan, a local builder, and we live in one of those comfortable cabins that dot the Gaines Bend shoreline.  Our pups, Charley and Cricket round out our household, and my horses, Diamond and Zeb, are close by in the Gaines Bend Stables.

Horses? Yep!  Bet you never thought about having a horse at the lake.  I am a competitive barrel racer – have been my whole life – and having my horses nearby helps me train pretty conveniently.

I appreciate you reading this far, and taking the leap with me as I get into this world of blogging and posting.  If you “follow my blog” I promise I’ll keep writing about all the Possum Kingdom lifestyle has to offer.   You can also follow me on my Facebook Page – I call it “A Slice of PK” – where I’ll post everything from the what-to-do stuff and how to do it, to keeping you updated on the local real estate market – whatever it is, I’ll be writing about it every week.

This week, I’ll just close by giving thanks for all that life has brought my way, and for being given this opportunity to connect with you.  Hope you’ll tune in next week!

– Dee Dee .... Offering you a glimpse of PK, one slice at a time!
